We’ve written about Cadet before, the wine and beer bar in downtown Napa owned by Colleen Fleming and Aubrey Bailey. It’s a hip place with a great following in Napa, and one of our favorite places to hang out and consume adult beverages. In the summer and fall Cadet hosts events where they feature one winery, and on September 25, 2019 it was Realm’s turn again. We held a party there once before in 2016 and had a blast. This time we were in the middle of our Practical Dreamer Tour, but we really wanted to connect with the Napa community.

Eden:“The Cadet wine events are for Napa locals, friends, somms, and industry people. We also invite our growers and members who live locally. It’s goodwill for the community, a way for us to connect and say thank you.”

We poured current releases, mostly by the glass, some out of large format bottles. You had a choice of red or white. The white was Fidelio, the red was a grab bag…it could be The Bard, Dr. Crane, even To Kalon. We kept prices reasonable so people could have a couple of glasses without breaking the bank. The place was packed, inside and out.

Eden: “Most people don't have access to these wines. Even if they’re in the industry and sell Realm wines, they probably don’t get to drink them very often. This event is about giving folks in the community who support us the opportunity to drink a few glasses of Realm. Plus we love the venue, Cadet has always supported us.”
