Realm x Fida at The Modern NYC

We have always been inspired by wines from all over the world. The diversity of tastes, textures, climates, philosophies and people in the wine world help us to constantly refine our own palates and perspectives. In that spirit, we’ve been following (and collecting) for some time the wines from acclaimed importer VINTUS and their private client program called Fida. The wine producers represented by VINTUS and Fida comprise some of the greatest domaines in France and Italy. So we thought to ourselves, what would it be like if we paired Realm wines next to various reference point wines from France and Italy? Who knows...we’ve never done a dinner like this before. On June 6, we will be joined by our friend Santosh Varghese from Fida as well as special guest Luca Sanjust, owner of Petrolo, to experience a memorable five-course dinner at The Modern full of good stories and laughter. We’ve known Luca for years and have long admired his Petrolo wines, so we are thrilled he happens to be in New York at the same time and will join us for the dinner.

The Modern NYC is an iconic, two-Michelin-starred destination known for its innovative cuisine, chic ambiance, and impeccable service. Helmed by Executive Chef Thomas Allan, and featuring a blend of classic French techniques with contemporary American flavors, we felt The Modern would be the perfect backdrop to this dinner.

We are sharing some of the wines we plan to taste during the dinner along with Scott’s interpretation of each pairing. We hope this entices you to join us!
